📣 Hampstead Heath Bathing Ponds need your help!
🏊‍♀️ 🏊🏊‍♂️
They’ve always been firmly trans-inclusive, but now this is under threat.
Please respond to their consultation to show how much public support there is for trans-inclusive arrangements.

Consultation on the future access to the Hampstead Heath Bathing Ponds:

Executive Summary

This consultation seeks your views on access arrangements at the Hampstead Heath Bathing Ponds -Highgate Men’s Pond, Kenwood Ladies’ Pond and Hampstead Mixed Pond, with a particular focus on potential changes at the Highgate Men’s Pond and the Kenwood Ladies’ Pond.

Following the recent Supreme Court decision in For Women Scotland, and in line with other service providers, the City of London Corporation is reviewing its policies, including those at the Hampstead Heath Bathing Ponds. Your feedback will help inform decisions about future arrangements, alongside legal obligations, equality and safeguarding duties, financial constraints, and practical considerations.

also astonishing love for Samuel Blenkin's work as Boy Kavalier! Never-ending delight for performers who put their whole body to work (also the pyjamas obv, really happy to see the move away from gilets into craft).

There is a lot for disabled people to be enraged about. I partnered with artist Finnegan Shannon on #DisabledRage public art. All graphics are downloadable & feel free to share and wheatpaste all over your community

Steph, it is time for you to become a father of both a goblin child *and* a tiny revolutionary library.

This piece reminds me so much of Ruth Reichl's review or La Cirque for the NYT, as both 'Dinner as the Unknown Diner' and 'Dinner as a Most Favoured Patron' www.nytimes.com/1993/10/29/a...

what other utilities do you know that would host a zine reading in the bowels of a treatment plant
woman in a dimly lit industrial tunnel setting wears an orange NEORSD hard hat and safety goggles. she stands behind a microphone stand, adjusting her goggles with her left hand as she reads from a booklet in her right hand. a crowd of writers in orange hard hats seated in an industrial tunnel under LED lights, two people stand in front of the group speaking behind a mic stand.

Together: small vine tomatoes, nectarine, green olives (Perello gordal picante), red pepper, a little finely chopped red onion, burrata, balsamic vinegar + good olive oil + salt + pepper. (You may also accompany with bbq'd chicken thigh with crispy skin).

Thinking a lot about Winnie Soon's Unerasable Character Series, on the horrors of erasure and the scale of unheard voices within the contexts of digital authoritarianism and the 'blank paper' protests in China

NEW: Parliament Square, London right now.

Thousands in a silent, peaceful protest against both the genocide in Gaza and the UK Government prescribing protest group Palestine Action as a terrorist group.

Police now making arrests.

Thousands seen sitting with placards that all read “I oppose genocide. I support Palestine action.” Big Ben is seen in the background
