But to ease off on the profanity a LITTLE: the fatal defect of all of this is that once again, the government is presumptively vetoing minors accessing legal speech, and TONS of the restrictions on who can communicate with a minor affect legal speech, absent parental permission.

I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

It is a bit alarming, when rereading Machiavelli's The Prince, that it lands as reportage rather than political theory. However, I find great comfort in the fact that they are really effing it up.

Periodic reminder: the vaccine efficacy of the pertussis vaccine drops below 50% at 4.5 years. You should be getting a Tdap booster every 5 years, not every 10. It is especially vital if you have contact with pregnant people or infants too young to be vaccinated.

November is Diabetes Awareness month which is likely why I'm seeing so many 'cure' posts. Just a reminder; all of those require anti-rejection meds, which are a huge deal health wise, and not a good trade excepting exceptional circumstances.
