A majority of Massachusetts residents were not old enough to vote in 1994, 31 years ago, when rent control was banned. And those residents are disproportionately impacted by a system that places virtually no limits on rent gouging. It’s time for them to also have a say in how they’re treated

And your local library literally needs you to use their services so we can continue to survive. Let us help you! Even my small rural library (serving pop. 6,000) has hotspots, ebooks, eaudiobooks, etc! If we don't have an author you want, just ask!

I’m so tired of this. Its exhausting. We’re all broke and the people who steal books don’t care.

I’d bet a whole American dollar that saying “Please don’t steal from us” on social media is basically a challenge to double down and yoinks! away! on our titles.

At least then I’d get a dollar.
I see it's the seasonal argument about why piracy to fuck over Amazon and publishers is okay while many authors live below the poverty line.

Some news: tomorrow at 9am, Ted Koppel + CBS Sunday Morning will air a two-part story on the devastating surge of full-time workers being pushed into homelessness.

I'll be interviewed along with two families from There Is No Place for Us. It would mean a lot if you'd watch and help spread the word.

Opinion: In CT, housing advocacy is a political asset
Voters have spoken: ignoring the housing crisis and caving to the loudest voices in the room comes with significant political peril.

The Shoestring found that state police and Boston police still participate in a federal task force that the Trump administration has directed to focus on "anti-capitalism" or "extremism" on race, gender, and migration as indicators of terrorism.
