Nigel Farage is going to "save pubs" by cutting 5p off the price of a pint of beer...

The £3 billion cost will be funded by reinstating the two-child benefit limit.

This might be the worst policy anyone has ever come up with.

One of my favorite jokes of all time is "Adolph Hitler Commits Suicide" being a tiny headline under the banner story about a hare-vs-tortoise race ... in 1943, two years before Hitler committed suicide. He was alive and well when the Warner Bros. cartoonists made this joke.

Why we sometimes need to get involved in all this negative stuff: because our public media are giving a free pass for wrongdoing to very famous people with money and power.
So! Let me get this straight. It’s brilliant that #ElonMusk addressed a racist #EDL “protest” in #London calling out #BritAsian “rape gangs” and the threat immigration poses to white women. Blanket coverage from every UK media outlet. But! Him being implicated in #EpsteinFiles gets nary a mention.

Seriously impressed at having so much dedication to transphobia that after a weekend of details coming out linking some of the most awful people in the world with the most corrupt that a politician and a paper run with a headline "Trans people, though, aren't they just awful"
That's Labour kicking off Scotland's 2026 anti-trans election in the paper that campaigned to keep Section 28.

last dressing down I got from Monkey Cage execs on day I resigned was for a Bluesky comment on some of the sexual abusers who had been close to Prince Charles - Mountbatten, Van Der Post, Peter Ball - I didn’t do it to be sensational, I did it because it shows how abuse is just ignored by power
Looking at #epstein reports , thinking of the deference to power that allows all this and the people who have fought so hard for justice - here is a not nice #poem that erupted today
