edit: turns out the guy in the story is a nasty horrible racist prick. Naturally the BBC did not feel this was important to disclose. But it absolutely is, he is not just "some guy" he's a racist media figure.

it's funny cos my instinct has always been to think of kpop as a hit factory and then with the more you know you start to see the nuances, where the power shifts a bit, the acts who've been successful for a long time and then get to cut loose a bit etc
