Found this essay really interesting - on how the demand for US radiologists is rising, despite it being an obvious candidate for AI automation.

It looks like AI might be labour-enhancing, not -replacing. And there might be a bit of Jevons Paradox at work (AI may be increasing the demand for scans)
AI isn't replacing radiologists
Radiology combines digital images, clear benchmarks, and repeatable tasks. But demand for human radiologists is ay an all-time high.

You could tie this, and Farage's long standing admiration for Putin, and his work for RT, and Tice's comments about Ukraine negotiating territory away, into a strong narrative of treachery for these people. If you were good at comms that is. However...
Nathan Gill, Reform's leader in Wales at the last Welsh parliament election, has pled guilty to 8 bribery charges, taking Russian cash while he was one of Nigel Farage’s MEPs to speak in favour of Putin's Russia in that parliament

If this isn't the splashing headline in papers for the next few days, you know the media is in their pockets too

I get that the news cycle is packed right now, but I just heard from a colleague at the Smithsonian that this is fully a GIANT SQUID BEING EATEN BY A SPERM WHALE and it’s possibly the first ever confirmed video according to a friend at NOAA

Billionaires fund the #classwar.
Their political puppets manufacture a #racewar.
Communities get divided.
Billionaires take control and strip out public services.
Citizens are left poorer, but have been conditioned to blame minorities.
Can you see where #Farage and #ReformParty fit into this?

I would encourage non Indians (and also my compatriots) to read about Zombie firms in the country.

Modi is all bluster about ease of doing business but setting up one is ridiculously hard and needs a lot of bribes, but closing a company is next to fucking impossible.
For General Motors, getting out of India has been an odyssey spanning years. Its saga is a reminder to American companies of how difficult it remains to do business there.
Setting Up a Business in India Is Hard. Leaving Is Even Harder.
General Motors ran into barriers on its way out of India, highlighting the hurdles that keep foreign companies leery of doing business there.

Cognitive disadvantage!? Offloading thinking to stupid LLMs that live on your face (AND IN YOUR FACE! ALL THE TIME!) will only serve to create generations of idiots that cannot think for themselves.

According to experts on fascism one of the best defences that a country has against fascism is a strong trade union movement. Trade unions unite all workers and fight for better for all of us. Join a union ✊

Three uk newspapers have front pages claiming the trans ideology markings on the bullet!! So irresponsible! No lessons learnt!
The idea that ideological statements were carved into bullets did seem just a little unlikely to say the least…
The markings that supposedly expressed “transgender ideology” were………..a series of arrows.
This would be funny if it wasn't for the tragic state of journalism

Astounding justification by the BBC. I need to better understand the underlying systemic causes of this embrace of radical popular shifts where they move rightwards but receive the total opposite response if to the left.

Thinking about gig workers in DC right now. The situation has put some clarity towards my long-held feelings:

If I were aware of a business model which relies on putting its workers in precarious positions, I would not contribute to that business model's demand.

TBH - Court is siding with the rich, and also protecting our Indian culture. If people get access to scientific data easily, how will we be able to promote our Indian culture and all the historical benefits of non-scientific and religion driven solutions.
