You know, generative AI is a cool parlor trick and impressive engineering went into it AND YET, oddly enough, I don’t think that’s worth it when weighed next to how it makes CSAM on demand and keeps talking people into psychotic breaks and no one has figured out how to stop either of those

Once again: people are angry for very good reason, and this brand of post is perhaps one of the most tedious and bewildering. Practically every social media platform is rabidly pro-‘AI’ so are govts, academia, companies. This one small space being critical of AI is okay, I think.

perhaps a bit biased here as someone who recently experienced a bumpy launch, but the way we treat launches as the entire verdict on the game is really troublesome for makers

it's insane to me as someone who watched the live service model grow into what it is today that these kinds of games aren't even given a month to live and potentially grow and gain and audience when something like league or fortnite didn't blow up overnight.

I asked a nutritionist last year the easiest way to improve diet and she was like "make your plate colourful" and it's worked wonders
Colon cancer numbers are rising in the US, UK, Canada, China, Australia, India, South Korea, the EU, Brazil, South Africa etc., the exception is in women in Nordic states who are more likely to eat a diet high in fiber because of berries. Eat beans, berries and other high fiber foods. Limit booze
So many Americans are dying from colon cancer and thats terrifying to me.
