Yeah, I had my trigger finger fixed around 10 years ago. The surgeon told me there's a sheath around your finger which contains the tendons & you get trigger finger when the tendon catches on the edge of the sheath. The surgery just cuts the sheath open. Afterwards I could use the finger freely.
