i wanna see you bitches grow old. i'm serious about this
just in case y'all aren't aware: the new Rosalía album, Lux, is AMAZING. absolutely crazy genre hopping, every new song makes me spontaneously grin at its audacity and bombast

honestly reminds me of Bjork or Kate Bush in how intensely + joyfully it experiments with the pop form! STRONG recommend

yes I don't really see how you can go "oh yikes these people have changed their political views incredibly quickly, mostly because of what Very Online people talk about on social media" and also think that people who went from never talking about gender to calling trans women predators are....normal
I don’t like subtweeting people I consider online friends, but there is a subset of people who are very worried about the ongoing radicalisation of our political elite but won’t ever acknowledge the echoes with the radicalisation of their colleagues on trans rights
And few who are sympathetic to us, some who are friendly with me on here, will ever stick their head above the parapet

to be clear, this was the dream I had last night
bizarre cyber incident where people across the world found mysterious docker containers running on their devices, hogging resources and endlessly multiplying

so I had to go on TV to explain what docker is and why there’s nothing sinister about me using it in my homelab

to be clear, the point here but pic #1 is a completely insane and ahistorical take requiring severe brain worms to even find remotely plausible. and wtf are “crime genes”?!?

Zombies, Run! is fantastic, and this is fantastic news!

(ethics disclosure: one of my loved ones has done work on ZR. but I played and was impressed by it long before that)
just incredibly thrilled to announce that after months and months of uncertainty over the future of the game, and several I have bought Zombies, Run!, the game I co-created and have been making for the past 12 years:

gonna start confusing everyone by calling myself a detransitioner, by which I mean that I was forced to transition to male starting around 12 years old and only transitioned back as an adult

One thing that surprises me is how rarely this sort of thing is acknowledged as impinging on the rights of British citizens as well as immigrants.

We should care about both, obv. But from my end, it’s pretty galling to be unsure whether the love of my life could join me in the UK if I moved back.
British citizens who marry foreigners will have to make sure their spouses have a minimum income of £12,500 for 3 to 5 years, or they won't get indefinite leave to remain, the UK government has proposed. assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/691edd...

The real Silicon Valley commentary was having a funder be like "you have all the time and money in the world, go nuts," only to suddenly pull the rug and say "actually, now you have to solve immortality for me personally in two weeks or you're cut off."

This is how modern monsters are created.
In the age of AI, Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein gets the monster right:

-Preening college dropout founder desperate to troll and provoke
-Secures financing from war profiteer
-Unethically harvests key materials for startup from people living and dead without consent
-Takes 0 responsibility
Guillermo del Toro's 'Frankenstein' gets the monster right for the age of AI
Too bad he lets the founders off easy.

Judge for yourself: did the dossier accusing the BBC of doctoring a Trump quote…doctor a Trump quote?
Left: Donald Trump’s Jan 6th quote, as presented in the dossier that brought down two BBC bosses

Right: What Donald Trump actually said.

I’d have to see the transcript, but this last idea sounds v much like Musk has lifted it from Iain M Banks’ Culture novels.

The anarcho-communist Culture has no prisons or cops. But if you do a murder, a small annoying robot will tail you around for the rest of your life to stop you killing again.
Musk claimed Optimus robots “will eliminate poverty,” “give everyone amazing medical care,” and will be “bigger than cell phones...” He also said they’d be used for “containment of future crime” by following criminals around and stopping them from “doing crime.” www.cnbc.com/2025/11/06/t...

Not loving that the bottom two countries are the exact same ones where I’ve spent my entire life.
NEW from me:

Political hostility, high visa fees and (in the case of the UK) stagnant incomes are making the UK and US less attractive destinations for top international talent.

That steep decline in the appeal of moving to the US after 2016 is 👀

not the point but I looked up all these watches and half of them are so goddamn ugly I wouldn't be caught dead wearing one on my wrist

I literally think the multicoloured casio f91ws I wear every day are more attractive than the Rolex Datejust
Btw if you're wondering what Williams spent his $1.3m on, turns out the answer is lots of watches, a Louis Vuitton handbag, a lot of very expensive jewelry from Tiffanies, and some things from Mocler.

And when I say lots of watches, I mean *lots* of watches. Guy really liked watches.
