so like, i’m aware that it’s not a done deal that all dems vote no on this bill

flooding folks’ offices with calls tomorrow is probably a good idea if you care about the trans folks in your life
Tomorrow, the House of Representatives will vote on a bill that bans gender-affirming medical care for any transgender person under 18, and threatens any medical professional providing this care to youth with 10 years in prison.

Tell Congress to protect trans youth and vote NO.
Protect Trans Care Now
As wave after wave of extreme measures to criminalize and strip trans people of rights and safety continue, tell Congress to act.

This GFM for an indispensible local trans artist/organizer/bookseller is stalled out at 66 percent of goal. Can you help 'em get to 100 percent please???
I have started an urgent gfm for my partner and friend Charisma and Robin. Please consider supporting them as they face financial hardship and housing insecurity! gofund.me/21cc825a8

it is a noteworthy shift that Bush et al felt the need to lay like two years of groundwork to justify invading Iraq on WMD grounds and Trump is just saying "Venezuela's oil is our rightful property" and sending in the Navy

i honestly feel like this logic is just an extension of what I'd call the Default Billionaire Mindset, which is that anyone anywhere owning anything at all is an act of theft
Trump declares he is enacted a blockade on Venezuela until they "return the oil, land, and assets they've stolen from the United States."

This gaslighting is even worse than Bush demanding that Saddam Hussein "disarm his WMDs or the United States will invade," knowing full well Hussein had no WMDs.

Time to jettison @firefox.com
Mozilla has a new CEO and he just announced that Firefox will evolve into a modern AI browser. It's funny that the Wikipedia articles on .hack//SIGN and its characters say "Subaru and Tsukasa become good friends" when the show deliberately shows them holding hands and being close enough to each other that they just sit in silence together for hours on end

I will NEVER vote for a politician who votes for anti-trans legislation. Never. I don't care who it is, it's a dead issue. Move on. If my vote is so important to the future of democracy they should have thought of that before they voted to exterminate my child.

This article quotes Jason Lee Van Dyke, a self-described fascist who I found participated in a Patriot Front private chat room, to say he is not a member of Patriot Front and to defend Patriot Front's reputation. The article does not mention his fascist beliefs or his participation in the chat room.

Call me naive, but blaming social media for the backlash against The Last Jedi is too optimistic. Reactions would have been bad regardless due to the antagonistic culture "purist" Star Wars fans developed during the prequels era.

it's a lot easier to understand the visceral hate for The Last Jedi when you understand the average adult star wars fan needs things like this when engaging with art

The games industry brings in 300 billion dollars a year. The guy who made DOOM gets his projects canceled, the guy who made Katamari Damacy is broke, everyone in your feed is begging for a job and there are 50 new games coming out on Steam every day all going towards buying Gabe Newell's next yacht
Keita Takahashi (Katamari, Wattam, Noby Noby Boy) has moved back to Japan, and says he may be forced to quit the games industry due to To a T underperforming.

He also says he'd love to work on Katamari again, and for someone to invest in his studio.
