This is an article I keep coming back to with growing frustration, as I see so many of our mainstream outlets refusing to adapt to an authoritarian regime, and often capitulating to the regime. This particular quote from a Polish journalist strikes me as especially important today.

I refuse to stay silent while Secretary Noem breaks the rule of law and terrorizes our communities. I am introducing Articles of Impeachment against her for violating the public trust, obstructing Congress, and self-dealing. Read my full statement: robinkelly.house.gov/media-center...

Remember in 2020 when we had that week where we all went outside and clapped/banged pots/made noise to support health care workers? We need that, but for collective screaming at the sky.

Went to the dr a few weeks ago and the convo basically went like this. It’s a rough time out there for anyone with even a shred of empathy or basic pattern recognition skills.

(But also, if the new bullet journal brings you joy, even temporarily, that’s awesome. We still get to enjoy things!)
Reminder for everyone operating at situationally-diminished capacity.

I love #dataviz where the visual reflects the object/topic it is visualizing. Truly one of my favorite things. ☀️

EXCLUSIVE: @laurenweberhp.bsky.social & I have spent the last year collecting school+county-level vaccination data from across the US and found that only about 28% of counties now have herd immunity for kindergartners from measles—that leaves about 5.2mn kids unprotected.

U.S. vaccination rates are plunging. Look up where your school stands.
Take a look to see what the kindergarten measles vaccination rates are in your area.

I fixed up my bike this spring & spent most of the summer biking around my neighborhood a few times a week. It inspired my husband to get an e-bike, & we went exploring together! After one hill too many, I also decided to get an e-bike & I started using it to run most of my errands. Loved my rides!
I need some positivity. Quote or reply with your favorite bike memory of 2025. It can be a great ride, an advocacy accomplishment, whatever. Let's celebrate bikes.

My personal favorite was finally doing a bikepacking ride up to Portland, Maine! It has me excited for bigger adventures in 2026.

Summer harvest X Christmas cheer 🍅 🎄

2025 was my first year with a garden & my own tomato plants. Couldn't resist turning my harvest data into a Christmas card.

Learned a lot about timing & placement -> more tomatoes next year. Here’s to growing things and skills, one season at a time! #DataViz

moderncss.dev

piccalil.li/complete-css/ (or anything else by Andy/his studio)

defensivecss.dev (or any of Ahmad’s deep dive blog posts)

I'm incredibly impressed you figured this one out. I actually watched this one recently and it was so unoffensive I didn't even remember it existed/that I had watched it 😂

Say it louder for the CEOs and shareholders in the back.
the thing that drives me insane about genAI/chatgpt bullshit is that brother, the process IS the work IS the entire thing. no artist comes to art for the final result. the final result is inextricable from the fucking labor that came into making it

Some great advice here on how to start connecting with the #dataviz community here.

I would add though that the premise promoting this thread is incorrect - there ARE a bunch of data viz folks here having great discussions already. You just gotta jump in and start participating!
#dataviz folks,

Folks, here's a link to my newsletter where I express my exasperation with LinkedIn.

Maybe we can get a critical mass of data viz people to agree to put in real effort to make BlueSky social work.
