Trying to be a serious person, but probably thinking about X-Men and Star Trek.
This drives me mad tbh. Multiple times I've come out of a gig/film/play even as early as 10:30pm wanting food or a place to hang and found nothing open other than nightclubs, which are not what I want. Once I tried going to VQ because I knew it was a 24-hour diner. It was fucking closed!
I was shocked how little London is a 24 hour city, coming from Toronto and having spent time in Tokyo, Beijing, NYC and San Francisco.

It's only gotten worse.

I see a lot of online discourse that is essentially "this thing I like should only be aimed at people like me" and like... I get it, it's hard to let go. But if your problem is that corporate IP continues to be corporate IP, you don't need Spider-Man to be aged up, you need to get new interests.

Just received the cheque for this. I will be reinvesting the money ($29.58) in a local cinema and reminding Alamo Drafthouse that, in future, they should ensure that the conditions of sale on their tickets are up to legal standards.
I just learned that because I bought two tickets to see AMSTERDAM at the Alamo Drafthouse (Lower Manhattan) roughly three years ago, I'm eligible to receive some money as part of a settlement in a class action lawsuit against the cinema.

Not to get all "unconfirmed reports of a large ball of light hovering in the sky over England" but you know it's been bad when even I'm like "oh thank god, the sun's out."

I have two personas: with my mates I am posh and corporate, at work I dress up in a bat-themed costume and pummel the disenfranchised
I have two personas: with my mates I'm a laddish, in my job I'm posh & corporate. It came to a head at a charity ball. I was there with work, & mates there with their work. Had to Mrs Doubtfire it, one minute I'm "hello you cunt", the next I'm "that's a fine Sauvignon, Karen"

My friend just called the UK-set Silent Hill Townfall “Silent Hull” and I think that’s its name now. #stateofplay

I've just reviewed my 51st Sticky Toffee Pudding. But what did it get out of 10?

Michael Fassbender's ex and her kids have a restraining order against him after horrific abuse.

Mark Wahlberg permanently blinded a man in a racist attack.

Chris Brown horrendously beat Rihanna to the point of hospitalisation.

That any of these men have careers and fans is baffling to me.
amazing that every time i bring this up people are unaware of it. he really got away with it
The Adventures of Cliff Booth looks great!

Just watching the Men’s Downhill Skiing and it’s nuts how fast they go. Tbh I think they should slow down and enjoy the view. Life is such a rush already.

Starfleet Academy has a lot about it that I like, but I'm finding myself put off by how much it's all modelled on US universities. The writers don't seem to realise how deeply fucked their education system is at that level and the idea the system would persist for 1000 years is sorta nuts.

There's a surprising amount of Macaulay Culkin in the Fallout TV show. By which I mean, literally any amount of Macaulay Culkin.

Wonder Man is easily the best tv show marvel has ever done, and I say that despite loving Daredevil Reborn *a lot*. This finally made good on the promise of WandaVision.

I just had cause to look up why Americans call Canadians “hosers” and while I was expecting the reason to be dumb, it turns out it’s WAY dumber than I expected. The answer is: because of a Rick Moranis tv sketch from the 1980s.

Bought this at the London Comic Mart earlier. Beautiful Neal Adams issue from 1969. I’ve got 56 more issues of X-Men between me and a full run which might be a mad goal but eh, it gets me out of bed. #comics

Just wondered when that new Spartacus spin-off was actually happening and it turns out 9 of 10 episodes have already aired. Guess there hasn’t been much talk about it.
