The Beige Book says employment is contracting, ADP says employment is contracting, the BLS says unemployment is going up, continuing jobless claims are rising, and WARN notices are up. It's very clear what's going on in the labor market, but stocks are up so people brush it off.

If the Republicans were to lose #TN07 in the Special Election tomorrow, it would make it harder for Trump to continue to behave like a dictator. It would likely prompt many in the GOP to realize that refusing to stand up to Trump when he's wrong is not a popular position.

I’m thinking this is all about ACA pricing while the economy overall is holding up better than expected.
Interesting narrative violation here with under-35s confidence improving sharply while older households report a significant decline. These are pretty noisy of course.
