Our economic system doesn’t work if 37% of people on food assistance are working full time. These companies are exploiting and stealing from their workers.
The Boston Globe identified the companies in Massachusetts that employ the most SNAP recipients. A key stat: "In Massachusetts, 74% of working-age recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program are employed, half of them full-time."

I will drop a celebrity like a hot potato if they're transphobic.

No one is free unless we are all free. When you start to add caveats to who gets autonomy and freedom, we've already lost the battle.

Gonna be funny as hell to see what Trump's "best economy in the history of forever" is gonna turn out on Black Friday.

All of my commumity is boycotting it. All the way to the 2nd.

Good luck with that.

We need so much more of this. I hope they make it work.

I think of the things people could accomplish with their needs met to some extent, so they might have some time to give back to the community that supports them. What would that world look like?
CommunityMovement Builders is seeking organizers interested in living & working in southwest Atlanta, to support base building & community organizing. We offer a monthly stipend of $1,000 & reduced rent of $250 per month in one of our community houses. For details bit.ly/3XOLPRE

That’s amazing!!

I hope it amounts to something. Nothing personal, but I think we have all seen progressive administrations that were unable or unwilling to rein in police even after repeated promises to do so.

That said, you are the best person for the job!
I'm excited to announce that I have been asked to join the Mamdani Transition Team to work on community safety issues. A New Era for NYC.

Impeachment isn’t an option, it’s a necessity. I know firsthand the lengths Trump is willing to go in order to silence dissent.

Impeach, convict, remove. And if our current leaders won’t do it, they need to step aside for people who will: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jo54...

It’s bizarre that media keep reporting that the trouble Larry Summers now faces is because his close ties to Epstein have been exposed rather than because the emails clearly show Larry is a sexual predator who admitted to attempting to use his university position to extract sex from a student.

“It’s on us”

So true, and I don’t know if we’re collectively up to the task. There is so much institutional inertia keeping people from imagining a better way of being. We are indoctrinated into capitalism from birth and find it hard to believe the system is stacked against us.
This feedback loop will not just stop on its own. Even if Trump dies, someone will fill that space and perhaps go farther than him.

This isn’t about elections. It’s about the need for recognition of the problem and a cultural sea-change. We can’t wait for heroes. It’s on us.

Those who believe Trump is an aberration fail to see he is the embodiment of what millions of Americans want and desire.

Each time he escalates in his fascist positions he is giving permission for them to get worse and for the environment to grow more and more dangerous.

I was once again struck by just how utterly pathetic the loser-men of our ruling class currently wrecking society are and I remembered the fashy meme. They, the fashy men sharing it, the contemptible losers of our ruling class, are the weak men. It resonates with them cos they see themselves in it.
