Over the weekend, hubs went for a big long walk, saw a kawakawa flower he thought I’d like, so picked it and carried it 15km to bring back for me.

So, if you ever wonder if you’re settling for less, ask yourself this: would your significant other carry a flower 15km for you?

Today was the third anniversary of my father’s passing. I still catch myself forgetting he’s gone, pick up my phone to text him, or think of something he’d find funny or interesting. I don’t think it’ll ever stop.

Unsolicited writing advice, no. 11618: LIBRARIES.
Public libraries are important for many reasons, not least because they often host author events and readers' groups that an author can use to help promote their work. These events are usually free, and authors don't generally charge for them.
