Traveling in non-English speaking countries, one has limited book choices. I was pleased to nab this. Never read Asher before and Wikipedia assured me this was a ‘standalone’ book. Ha! I’m piecing the backstory together & do like it, but it is hardly an entry point into his universe. #booksky #scifi

As we are in the NFL playoffs, I am glad that I am not a gambler. Fan Duel and its ilk are a scourge, and I urge all of you to OPT OUT of all gambling apps and such. It’s bad enough there are casinos everywhere. When is enough enough?

I was telling one of my kids that it was physically impossible for an ad to play between songs on any of the records I own, and they asked "and you only have to pay for it once?" and you could see how strange that seemed. You cannot overstate how many basic rules of media consumption have changed.

As a school administrator, one of the best trainings I ever set up for my staff was on de-escalation, presented by a local judge. Everyone loved it.
