Owners and proponents of crypto have a direct incentive to create chaos and dysfunction. Think Silicon Valley Bank, but the entire economy. They have now bought themselves into positions of great power. Hard to see how it ends well.

This brilliant little article gets at what I’ve seen but haven’t yet read: Chicago locals, regardless of status, are apprehensive about venturing out to restaurants and food stalls targeted by ICE. The result is a whole sector in economic and social crisis.

NEW: Trump has pardoned Binance founder CZ, wiping away one of the US’s most significant crackdowns on crypto crime.

The pardon is emblematic of Trump’s approach to clemency:

CZ hired lawyers & lobbyists with Trump ties, while Binance struck a business deal with the Trump family’s crypto company.

In Chicago, the Communist Party had a booth at the northwest corner of Butler Field. Right across from a crazy MAGA woman. I wish the Communists hadn't been there, it distracts from the point of the rally. But it's their right, like hers. They no more sponsored the rally than she did.
