Owners and proponents of crypto have a direct incentive to create chaos and dysfunction. Think Silicon Valley Bank, but the entire economy. They have now bought themselves into positions of great power. Hard to see how it ends well.

Correct. The legislators in the videos never characterized any particular order as illegal. They hinted at concerns, but simply stated the well-established legal principle that members of the Armed Forces are bound to refuse illegal orders.
Important part is cut off here, wherein it is clear that Hegseth is basing this at least in part on something that never happened. It is simply a lie to say that Kelly told anyone to refuse lawful orders.

The House Armed Services Committee also was not briefed, I've confirmed.
News: Gang of Eight in Congress were only notified about Trump's Venezuela operation after it began, source familiar tells me. That means the heads of the Intelligence Committees in Senate and House were *not* consulted. Just crazy.
