So the hotline’s 12 month budget was $400k. If we generously assume it spent only $200k given it operated for half of that time, that’s still $1000 per road cone removed. Nutty waste of money from the Coalition. 🤦♂️

The life of fossil fuels is being pushed out in the United States--thanks to Trump and oil executives like Hamm. Yes, part of it is AI demand for more electricity. But it is also industry execs like Hamm who gave millions to get Trump back to the White House and now are cashing in on that win.

It's not even just about people blindly trusting what ChatGPT tells them. LLMs are poisoning the entire information ecosystem. You can't even necessarily trust that the citations in a published paper are real (or a search engine's descriptions of them).

Just wondering out loud if doctors will defy the ban and prescribe anyway to the handful of kids this disgusting ban affects. Good abortion services used to fake-diagnose the required 'risk to mental health', maybe there will be a mass diagnosis of non-banned health conditions for blockers.
I've collected a list of all the medical and healthcare professionals who have put out statements against the ban on puberty blockers. I'm sure I've missed some, let me know if I have.
It is damning. I have yet to find a professional org that supports the ban, even tepidly.
