I had a baby die in my arms of pertussis some fifty years ago. It was a HORRIBLE death. But my fellow nurses said to me, "It's almost stamped out now, they're all getting the shots, we won't be seeing this again."

Great piece. When I was at West Point, they brought in Hugh Thompson to speak to our class...and nobody of any political persuasion that I talked to there ever spoke highly of Calley. So if you're in the service it's worth asking: What do you want your grandchildren's generation to think about you?
