As someone who was diagnosed as an adult and is thriving much better on Vyvance this article can eat my whole ass. Emotional ups and downs are normal for fucking 8 year olds. The severe lack of self esteem from not being able to function like your peers will cause significantly more ups and downs

I understand that massive overhaul of the system is needed to impact lives on a mass scale especially in the global south. But I’m also not going to fault someone who’s looking to ease suffering on a smaller scale *right now* because it’s what he’s capable of. He’s far from perfect but he’s trying

I've seen 20 yo YouTubers claim the 2000s weren't homophobic, there was no pushback or resistance to the bush administration, and that nobody knew there weren't WMDs. One even said that George Lucas tried to warn us about the day's political dangers in the SW prequel trilogy but no one heeded
One of the strangest aspects of aging that they don't warn you about is watching as history gets rewritten right in front of your face and people 20 years younger than you confidently tell you about something you lived through and get it completely wrong.
