This is really, really bad. This never should have gone to trial, much less resulted in a conviction.

Thanks to all the marks on both sides of the aisle who enabled this by falling for a gobsmackingly stupid manufactured moral panic.
The US TikTok sale has been signed. The company will be controlled by a joint venture including Oracle, Silver Lake, Andreessen Horowitz, Abu Dhabi-based MGX. Adding a UAE company really makes it clear that this was never about national security concerns.

Scoop: TikTok signs deal for sale of U.S. unit after yearslong saga
The deal would end a yearslong saga to force TikTok's Chinese parent ByteDance to sell the company's U.S. operation.

I like the Maldonado special assistant signing. The whole reason Braves fans act like we lost the Murphy trade is b/c Milwaukee is known for developing catchers, so Contreras improved once there.

Always made me wonder why *we* can't do that too. Looking forward to Martin mentoring Drake

One of my favorite craft beers, which went away ~6 years ago, is coming back! A jalapeño blueberry porter

Was offered by Two Henry's Brewing, a microbrewery owned by Keel & Curley winery. They ditched the Two Henry's brand for "Agrarian Ale & Cider", but until now it'd basically been cider only

There's an interview with BRMC where they talk about telling the dept of homeland security to go fuck themselves when they used their song, and it's pretty interesting that this rock band quickly learned something that the entire opposition party can't seem to figure out

Highly disappointed to see both Georgia Senators on this list
Here are the 28 Dem Senators who voted to advance the first federal ban on trans athletes & a federal definition of sex that would make trans & intersex people non-existent: Angela Alsobrooks (MD), Tammy Baldwin (WI), Richard Blumenthal (CT), Lisa Blunt Rochester (DE), Chris Coons (DE), ->
By a vote of 76-23, S 1071 passes the motion to proceed to the motion to concur. Won't know who voted for this until the roll call is uploaded, but safe to say it passed with the support of at least 24 members of the Democratic caucus. (Rand Paul probably voted nay and Steve Daines has been absent).

It's not enough for the next Dem admin to prosecute Trump world federal officials. We also need to go after corrupt Governors, with DeSantis at the top of the list
From Opinion: A Tampa Bay Times/Miami Herald investigation found that the DeSantis administration diverted at least $35 million from vital health care programs to fight two constitutional amendments — marijuana legalization and abortion rights. The administration must answer for it.

Few days late to this, but I finally watched "Wake Up, Dead Man" & it's easily the best of the Benoit Blanc movies so far. (And I say that as someone who loved "Knives Out" & "Glass Onion.")

Brutal but effective public health messaging from New York Public Health.

The CDC is compromised. They’re no longer a reliable source of information.

They push anti-vaxx & anti-science grift.

Get your vaccines. Wear a respirator. Clean the air

Alright, we got bullpen help (probably our closer, right? Iggy maybe becomes the 8th inning guy? Or does Iggy close this year and Suarez take the 9th the last two years of his deal?)

Saw a rumor on Facebook the Mets are shopping Lindor b/c he & Soto can't coexist. I don't see a world where the Mets would trade any starting player with us, but if they did, I'd welcome Lindor in a heartbeat.

They're really going to regret that Soto contract, aren't they?

4th OF, lets Acuña & Profar join the DH rotation. (Also insurance in case Ronald gets hurt or Profar gets popped again.) One of my checklist items crossed off, so I dig it.

Now we just need AA to get us a SS & bullpen help as our "must haves", maybe a SP if the right deal arises as "nice to have."

You might think from the headline that this is a story about a trans kid suffering medical consequences from a large drug dose but nope! It is just an interview with an estranged father who is angry that his child happily transitioned.
