Hello,

I mainly follow interesting (to me) C++/Games/Graphics/Artist people, and re-post cute and interesting deep dives.

I think this is mostly a curation account, as I only really post myself a couple of times a year.

I'm serious.

It continues to spike my fan with CPU and GPU usage... why?

did you know it's entirely legal to put a $ limit on your family's christmas presents? you can literally just say "I'm doing a $20 limit this year and it has to be edible, drinkable or wearable" and everyone breathes a sigh of relief.

I do not need another inspiring book or steampunk fridge magnet

"RemoveWindowsAI" is a script created by zoicware, available on GitHub, that does exactly what it says: it remove every AI feature in Windows 11. Do what you wish to do with this information. I'm sharing this because some folks are forced to use Win11 at work or other places for any reasons.

This lonely cloud was spotted by David from St Heliers on Sunday.
The cloud was an immense cumulonimbus cloud over 120km away, near Whangārei.
The process that builds these clouds also creates localised showers and even thunderstorms.

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".

What I always hear: “We can’t afford to pay our workers more than $15 an hour.”

What I never hear: “We can’t afford to pay our CEO millions of dollars a year.”

Funny how that works.

Wild story, a font service was bought out by a US company and now they are absolutely dogshit and it'll particularly heavily affect JP games, especially service titles.

This is really amazing … it’s like an animated Where’s Waldo using possibly hundreds of fandoms …

it’s an experience that is almost impossible to verbalize … “it can only be experienced”

(Also if you click on a character it will highlight who it is)
