really important element of this basically total victory is that it puts the fear of god in republican incumbents and may bring the redistricting push to a total halt

Funniest part of this is that he’s saying the shutdown is a disaster for Republicans, which seems a touch off message but okay who am I to argue

this is genuinely wild
Looks like the Dems will pick up 12 seats in the VA House of Delegates, which will go from 51-49 to 63-37 D-R. That's an honestly shocking result.

Body cams apparently show Border Patrol agents joking about tossing tear gas at a nonviolent protest, with one agent saying "Hey, throw it [tear gas] for fun."

Agents then tried to drive away, but there was apparently so much tear gas they were overcome, couldn't drive, and had to leave on foot.
A Border Patrol agent was caught on video telling another to throw tear gas “for fun,” according to a court filing. They also mocked protesters and residents who were getting gassed.

There is no silver bullet. There are 3 options for producing a healthcare policy for America:
1) No policy, many people will lack coverage.
2) Managed policy, trying to get as many people to participate in for-profit pools (the ACA).
3) Single payer policy, where we pay the govt for healthcare.
Marjorie Taylor Greene: I hope that Mike Johnson is finally giving a single health care policy because the country deserves it, and it shouldn't be a secret

Host: Maybe there is no plan

MTG: You know what? That, I believe, is the truth. There's no consensus, and I think that's a failure.

For too long, industry has been labelled a “hard-to-abate” sector. It’s time to rethink that.

With rapid advances in electrification and energy efficiency, much of industry is not hard to abate — it’s ready to innovate.

So many people were detained extrajudicially, were tortured, or died because of Dick Cheney. You can't get to the danger we're in now without everything he did. The weapons he helped forge are ones we need to take away from U.S. presidents forever.

Six months after ICE apprehended 47 people, including nine kids, in Hays County, Tex., County Judge Ruben Becerra says DHS has ignored his attempts to get answers:

“We’re not told why they took them, and we’re not told where they took them. By definition, that’s a kidnapping.”

the bleakest moment in this article is the point where a heritage staffer, horrified by fuentes, discovers that "a growing number" of heritage interns are groypers
My assumption is that the New York Post has better sources inside Heritage than most other press outlets. One tidbit of note: Princeton's Robert P. George, a Heritage trustee, is said to be pushing fellow board members to oust its president Kevin Roberts. Hope he succeeds.

Don’t take it from me, listen to Snopes! Speaker Johnson signed a bill to cut $186 billion from SNAP. And again, it’s HIS party that won’t help millions of Americans put food on the table this month.
