I saw a fan theory that the ending of "Mad Men" would be of Don Draper buying a ticket to get on a plane, and when he's asked for a name, says, "Don ... Cooper." I REALLY wanted that to happen.
“D. B. Cooper” hijacked a Boeing 727 aircraft in United States airspace between Portland and Seattle on the afternoon of November 24, 1971.

He extorted $200,000 in ransom and parachuted to an uncertain fate over southwestern Washington.

It’s been a while since I did the A/B but I honestly preferred this to Annie Hall.

Still angry about this. People are out there being gaslit into thinking they’re making scientific discoveries by the device that will lie to you confidently without missing a beat. There are people using LLMs as search engines. Administrations are setting policies verbatim from LLM output.
What a load of shit. There is no 1977 Freaks movie.

The Time magazine reviewer wrote in 1963: "The use of color photography is unnecessary and jarring, but little else is wrong with this film."

How odd.

of course i was furious at first. but, when those weird little slaves performed that musical number about my son's irredeemable character flaw (loves taffy in an annoying way), i had to admit.. it was pretty funny how he got gruesomely pulled apart by wonka's fantaffically daffy taffy contraption

Watched Last Emperor for the first time since I was ten or eleven today. So much did not stick in my brain for the back half when I had no knowledge of 20th century Chinese culture.

Powerful movie. Amazing production.

Relying on ChatGPT to teach you about a topic leaves you with shallower knowledge than Googling and reading about it, according to new research that compared what more than 10,000 people knew after using one method or the other.
