I believe that this 👇 is true, but is it something to brag about? But note: I'm not the 'target audience' for superbowl halftime shows. I don't think I've watched an entire halftime show, ever, but if I have, it was before 1990.

If you didn’t catch the significance of the exploding transformers in Bad Bunny’s halftime show, I gotcha. Here’s one of a bunch of pieces I wrote from/on Puerto Rico about the crisis—and Trump’s role in it. slate.com/news-and-pol...

Thought about watching the game at the P.A. Club, but that would mean taxis, so nah. Could take bus to the Wharf in Edgartown, but $8/beer adds up, plus it's wicked cold out, forget it. Discovered a subscription to NBC online I'd forgotten about. Game on. Beer is cheaper at home & I can mute ads.

The republican party should cease to exist based on what has happened this year. It may just be killing itself in a sorta death cult koolaide drinking years long bout of psychosis. If so, good riddance.

If someone in a crowd where you were yelled out “pedophile protector,” would you automatically assume they were talking to you? Because I sure wouldn’t. I’d be looking around for who they meant.

The reason @RepJamesComer doesn’t want the hearing public is because the Clintons can probably name people.

The reason Donald Trump said that he “always really liked Bill Clinton” is because the Clintons can probably name people.

Get it yet?

No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition.

Which just makes me want to share it again: www.nature.com/articles/d41...

She made key contributions to US cold-war science despite facing huge barriers as a Black woman.

Leading American companies — including Palantir, Deloitte, and private prison giant GEO Group — raked in over $22B from ICE and CBP contracts last year.

Do not forget who is profiting from cruelty and human suffering.

Just to clarify; I grew up in the Twin Cities so I can tell you with certainty that those are not MPD officers. Those are either State Troopers or Hennepin County Sheriffs. You can tell by the maroon pants. MPD wear blue uniforms.
Not to defend the MPD who were for years the most dangerous gang.

one of the greatest human triumphs of my lifetime is the relentless, unceasing, heroic effort by DECADES' worth of doctors and scientists to find a cure for a disease much of the world didn't take seriously for years because it predominantly affected a community they thought kinda deserved it
Just because good news is worth celebrating:

There is now a Prep medication that is an *every six month* injection.

HIV has, effectively, a vaccination.

BREAKING: Trump says he 'didn't make a mistake' with his racist video post.

Q:  "A number of Republicans are calling on you to apologize for that post. Is that something you're going to do?"

Trump: "No, I didn't make a mistake."

He adds later: "I guess it was a take off on the Lion King."

Josh Marshall at his best: It's OK to feel outrage at Trump/Miller/MAGA, but don't show it. That only conveys weakness. Instead, mock, insult, laugh at them. That's what they fear.
