Exit row plane seats are kind of wild because, on the one hand, you get some extra legroom. But on the other hand, you may need to guide panicked strangers down an inflatable slide.

There is a book club organization out there emailing authors telling them the club will feature their work for a "modest fee" for "branded materials" etc. Do not fall for this nonsense. You should never, as a writer, have to pay for such things.
