In my own tiny 12000 person mostly federal land county, the fingerprints of the housing crisis from larger cities like Vancouver and Portland are everywhere. National forests are not built for ex: a meaningful level of trash removal, and forgeable food now needs to feed many more people full time.

vote for the better candidate, but be grateful for vigorous primaries. “primarying” someone (an incumbent or just someone you like) is not a hostile act. it adds a sliver of choice in a system under which meaningful choice has too often been foreclosed.
