I actually know somebody who is a technologist for one of the large theme park companies. She told me about when the crypto boom was booming, she tried to openly approach the process of paying for stuff in the parks with crypto and she reported back that none of the vendors were fit for purpose.

i can't buy legos with bitcoin. I can't pay my rent with bitcoin. I can't buy groceries with bitcoin. They don't accept bitcoin to pay off my car loans.

I do know people who have bought drugs on silkroad. The HFT pump & dumps, fraudulent exchanges, etc. are well documented at this point.

Small Victories:

i once got yelled at in the discord for reposting verbatim the same line as somebody else

now so many people do it in the discord that somebody added behaviour to the bot to also repost if 3+ repost the same line in a row
