Fucking hell, catching up on the news this afternoon, this aspect is disgusting. Even the youngest victim's parents are out there politicising it and laying it at the feet of the PM. Albo's no angel but the right have become demented this year. #auspol
Anyway, never again let any right winger criticise anyone for “politicising a tragedy”. This has been the most shameless, gross stuff.

"Growth over the prior comparable period continues to hit new highs, particularly as we branch out into new areas with promising leads. There are some pain points emerging though which could lead to challenges, but we hope to evolve to being embedded throughout the system."

Yeah... that tracks.
If cancer could speak, it would sound like a CEO.

This is Charles Clyde Ebbets, the photographer who took the iconic “Lunch atop a Skyscraper” picture. Look at this fearless, dapper fuck wearing spats, suspenders, and a tie 850 feet above the ground. Absolute legend.
Here he is taking the photo.

Note: this isn’t fraud! It’s accountancy. As I discussed with Newsweek on Wednesday, NVIDIA has likely shipped companies GPUs they can’t install yet due to a lack of finished data centers and power to actually turn them on. Jensen Huang’s multi billion findom operation

Sydney's median is just unbelievable. I've lived here for lifestyle, proximity to family, and career opportunities, but this makes it clear I'm spending a lot of that upside on the cost of housing.
It's kind of amazing just how more affordable Melbourne now is, and also how expensive is Adelaide

rich dudes got freakier after butlers fell out of fashion, like say what you will about having domestic servants but clearly it was some sort of moderating force on old rich dudes having a fancy man follow you around saying shit like "oh dear sir, that wouldn't be very becoming"

Israeli group B’Tselem notes that, since a supposed “ceasefire” in Gaza, Israel has:

* killed 345 Palestinians,

* denied food to 70% of the population who need it,

* demolished a further 1,500 buildings.

All of this is in blatant violation of the agreement.

I take the sign that the fossil fuel economy bleeds when you prick it as a very straightforward signal that whatever path we find to eliminating the substances causing the overheating of Earth, we simply know that it's possible to do so.

All of it is hard AF, but none of it is "impossible"

Doing support for complex systems, you start to figure out when something is routine and when a crisis is about to come crashing down on your head pretty quickly. Usually the difference is small, but you don't get the muscle memory without being in the proverbial trenches regularly.
This is informed hugely by my experience in computer security. There is no teacher like crisis.
You can prepare but when you get there it's not what you thought it would be. It is exploitative.
Your boxing partner at the gym doesn't drag you to floor with 5 goons and beat your face in with a hammer.

That's more than 1,100 jobs lost at the CSIRO over the last two years.

"Combined, the staff association estimates that equates to cutting the agency’s size by a third."

This is more cuts to the CSIRO than was attempted by the Abbott government.

Problem is Albanese doesn’t seem to want anything other than power.
