We don't know that they didn't secretly support the Democratic fold and they aren't calling for Schumer's resignation.

The only way forward is to primary the entire Senate.

They won cutting healthcare!

Please clap.
With Arlington National Cemetery as the backdrop, President Trump used his Veterans Day speech on Tuesday to call the apparent near end of the nation’s longest government shutdown a “very big victory” for Republicans. nyti.ms/47Wojac
Trump Lauds ‘Very Big’ Shutdown Victory for G.O.P. in Veterans Day Speech
The address mixed the traditional solemnity of the day with political arguments, as the president celebrated his efforts to remake the armed services into a “Department of War.”

We'll never know what animated this statement, she is either extremely stupid or thinks we are.

Doesn't matter, she shouldn't be in the United States Senate either way.
Shaheen: "We've heard from a number of our colleagues on the other side of the aisle that they're willing to come to the table, they're willing to work with us once the govt is open to get this done. We've heard the same thing from the White House. So now we'll see if they're really gonna work w/us"

Did she publicly vote "no" while supporting the cave in as part of Democratic leadership?

We'll never know, but it's pretty clear this wasn't lone wolf work by the exact number of votes needed by the GOP.
I voted NO tonight—because we have to address the MAGA health care hike.

By refusing to work with Democrats on a solution before open enrollment started, Republicans have already pushed millions of Americans off the health care cliff.

It was leadership that did this. Only way to be safe is to nuke it from orbit.

Primary them all.
The caucus meeting was just to orchestrate who would fall on the sword but not be up for a vote in 2026.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)

The lies they tell either us or themselves (or both) are unreal.
Shaheen: "I think we can get a bipartisan bill out of the Senate that will address this [healthcare] issue. And if not, we know that the voters are going to know who's on their side and who's going to hold them accountable."
November 10, 2025 at 2:16 PM
Did she think everyone she is addressing just fell off a turnip truck?
Hassan: With the government reopening shortly, Republicans now finally have to come to the table. Or make no mistake, Americans will remember who stood in the way.
November 10, 2025 at 3:38 AM
They managed to lose credibility and momentum all at once.

Nice work, dipshits.
Hassan: My vote was to do two things: 1) Make sure the government is functioning… 2) continue the fight to a realistic platform to get the premium tax cuts done. If that is not successful, then shame on the Republican Party and shame on Donald Trump.

This bill doesn’t address the core issue that millions of Americans will no longer be able to afford ACA insurance coverage next year. I’m willing to work with anyone to create a path forward but this isn’t it.

You may not like it, but this is what peak American looks like.
Trump: "For generations Miami has been a haven for those fleeing communist tyranny in South Africa. I mean, if you take a look at what's going on in parts of South Africa. Look at South Africa, what's going on. Look at South America, what's going on. You know, we have a G20 meeting in South Africa."

Great follow up and brilliant comms strategy. If you don't like something that happened in the world, pretend to not know about it.

I'm imagining the press reaction if Dems started doing this.
Note: This is me — I asked this question.

You’ll hear me say “yes you have” here — because Johnson was already *directly asked* about one of these instances (when the Presbyterian minister was shot in the head with a pepper ball) in one of earlier shutdown press conferences.
Q: Just last week a minister was shot directly in the face with a pepper round by a DHS agent that left his face bloodied. Are you concerned that this is a religious freedom issue?

MIKE JOHNSON: I can't comment on any of those instances. I haven't seen or heard any of those videos

The dissonance between what people think is going on and what is actually going on didn't just happen by accident.

I harp on this but the media environment has been successfully poisoned by the right.
The actual finding here is that a huge percentage of the population believes things that are not true. Democrats objectively did not spend significant time on climate change or LGBTQ issues in the last election campaign.
Duh. Those of us on the ground last year actually speaking with middle class/working class voters and who heard from these voters every single day the same - “Trump is an asshole, but Democrats are out of touch” - could’ve saved my new political party a lot of time & money producing this “report.”👇
