UNDERTOW

The ship shone on the Bering Sea’s black waters from miles away like a Christmas tree. It stood 16 stories above the water, its name proud and visible across the bow: Снегурочка.

Zohran Mamdani campaigned a lot and appears not to hate the voters whose support he's seeking. Here's what other Democrats can learn from his unorthodox strategy.
Randomly scrolling on Bluesky and got spoiled on Frankenstein. Y’all suck. Stop posting pics of movies that have barely released yet.

Lol it’s telling that for each and every one of these, there’s -I think- a pretty clear and character-driven answer. That rules, even if you are taking the piss C;
Realizing folks’ mileage varies on this, but I thought there was a pretty compelling villain origin story in Wanda’s representation throughout the MCU…

…but I also realize that this is a universe with a real hazy stance toward prosecuting war crimes : /
I think it was easier for me to buy Wanda’s villainous turn in Strange 2 because she’s SO shitty in Wandavision and faced no real repercussions (Goddamn, I hate the finale of that show).
Full agree there. I think that was the exact moment the D+ shows became “homework” instead of “more of a good thing.”

Dancers at Trump’s Halloween party as people begin losing food stamps under his administration
Eternals is still my favorite MCU movie, but I can’t deny that one flopped critically and at the box office for varying reasons and also seemed like it burned bridges with audiences.

Even Black Widow feels like a misstep in some ways in terms of audience retention.
That feels mostly right to me!

Strange 2 was a box office success, but seems like people were split on Wanda as a villain.

I hear mixed things about She-Hulk— that it and Agatha worked with female audiences who were less outspoken online— but it could be as much of a dealbreaker as the others.
Feels like Secret Invasion was low-key the deathknell for casual fans who’d still been keeping up.

I feel like for those still casually invested, it’s almost exclusively for the movies, but those have drifted to “wait for streaming” experiences.

I want more Werewolf by Night & Man-Thing T_T
Listen, Halloween starts on October 1st and lasts until Black Friday. Fuggoff with that Thanksgiving crap.

But also, take your damn vacation days. The company does not really care as long as you get your work done eventually. But you will care.

The biggest benefit is: freedom from responsibility. Seriously. You cannot be "on" all the time. You need breaks. Take them before you crash out.

This is clear political prosecution and government overreach meant to scare protestors by going after resistance leaders and political candidates.

Kat Abughazaleh must not be imprisoned for fighting against the President’s fascism.
I have been charged in a federal indictment sought by the Department of Justice.

This political prosecution is an attack on all of our First Amendment rights. I’m not backing down, and we’re going to win.

Let me be clear... these, & more, were fascist nationalist militant groups established in the 1930s. Their rise led to a global armed conflict against far-right ideology called WWII.

It's been almost a 100 yrs & here we are, back in the shit. I'm not sure we get out of it without a fight.
