Jeez, I think this nails it.
Honestly, Pritzger could be both guys. Newsom will end up being neither.
A lot will happen between now and then, but my guess is that the ‘28 primary will be a contest between 1) someone who’s been doing the work fighting Trump who can rally the pissed off base, and 2) some telegenic white guy with whom swing voters would hopefully want to drink fermented beverages.

This, but you have all the good words. PSA: the professional recording of the recent multi-Tony Award winning production of "Merrily We Roll Along" is now playing at a theater near you. Go, it will lift your spirits.
Sondheim kept inventing theater that left folks breathless. For some folks—like me—his productions crept into their soul and wouldn’t let go. When he died, it felt like a world of possibilities died with him.
True story: I was in the camp that believed Sondheim had ruined American musical theater. Then I made a mistake: I went to a local Sondheim production: Assassins. Many shows later, I wept on news of his passing. I mean, Stoppard(love him) made me sad, but Stephen made me cry.

Just started “Death by Lightning.”

If you haven’t already discovered Stephen Sondheim’s musical “Assassins,” find it.

It’s SO good.

Calling FIFA a "deeply compromised organization" is way too kind.
Trump has spent years fuming that he didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize. So a deeply compromised organization invents a “FIFA Peace Prize” just for him. It’s authoritarian ego-management 101: if reality won’t deliver a trophy, make one up. #holdfast #SteadyState
You can hear a CNN panelist off camera laughing as Trump gets the “2025 FIFA Peace Prize.”

I cannot imagine how thrilled the IOC, FIFA, and UEFA are that the US is now currently as corrupt as all the other countries that they normally work with and their playbook will work.

I'll contribute to that. They don't even need to toss in a tote bag.
Unclear who I am supposed to root for in the battle to buy Warner Brothers Discovery and the HBO where I have made am home for 25 years. But if PBS wants to check the sofas again for change and make the high bid, I might have a near-even chance of one day filming another television drama.

Did anyone ask why Trump is blaming Biden when his folks vetted and approved his asylum this year?
November 27, 2025 at 4:24 PM
Biden has stuttered his entire adult life. Why list that among his deteriorations?
Biden was old, tired, sick, stuttered, & clearly wasn't what he once was, even ten years ago.

But everyone, especially Tapper, Thompson, Nuzzi, & the rest of the elites, who made it something else & pretended he was just like Trump should be deeply ashamed. But we don't seem to do shame anymore.
Look I don't want to say you're a rube if you fell for the "Biden's incompetent" trope but it was clearly a con coming almost exclusively from bad faith actors and had almost zero solid evidentiary basis.
