The strikes' impact on civilians’ daily lives is unacceptable. Extreme cold makes it critical that people can keep warm. Millions have no hot water, heating or way to prepare a hot meal. This is the most difficult winter many civilians have experienced since the escalation of the armed conflict. Strikes on the electricity grid have a devasting impact on the availability of essential services like water, especially in cities. The cumulative effect is psychologically exhausting - and life threatening for the most vulnerable amongst the population. Attacks causing disproportionate harm to civilians, including by depriving their access to essential services such as electricity and heating that are essential for survival right now, are prohibited," said Ariane Bauer, ICRC regional director for Europe and Central Asia.

Atta har forresten vunnet frivillighetsprisen for sitt arbeid med å etablere minne- og læringssenter på Al Noor-moskeen i Bærum etter det høyreekstreme terrorangrepet i 2019. Han er kommunestyrerepresentant for Bærum Arbeiderparti, og en stor ressurs og bidragsyter i sitt lokalmiljø.

Modus operandi til Ap-regjeringen er å fortelle nordmenn det som er mest komfortabelt og behagelig, men ikke det som er sant. Dette gjelder alt fra klima til utenriks. På tide at regjeringen begynner å behandle befolkningen som voksne mennesker man kan og bør være ærlige overfor.

This is what happened in our neighborhood yesterday. ICE snatched a human being off of our streets, roughed them up badly, and then pepper sprayed legal observers as they documented it all. This is a daily occurrence happening all throughout Minnesota right now.
