aging anarcho-punk. never done anything the easy way. farm --> factory --> tech support. androgynous, but not the way you like. they/them.
@riotlinguist.bsky.social do you want this claw? or just to see metal art from a queer blacksmith you *also* loves dark souls?
Giving away this little claw I made as a proof of concept for another project. Small, sharp, feels good to hold. To win: b following me, like, comment, rp, and tag someone you think would also like to win. Winner pays s&h, void where prohibited, no metal animals were harmed in the making of this art

update!! we had a critical failure in the field with a SAM XT. the self locking buckle snapped when applied high & tight to a patient with a large circumference thigh. it had to be replaced with another providers personally purchased CAT they had on their person.
a while back my service adopted the SAM XT over the CAT. i’m not sure i love it, but as far as idiot proofing a windlass tourniquet for your average EMS provider or infantry puke i can see the appeal

Judge Sara Ellis began with Carl Sandburg’s beloved poem, “Chicago.”
That’s the vision of the city she embraced as she decried the feds’ use of force here that “shocks the conscience,” and extended an order meant to curb it.

this is false. twenty years ago it, it was presented as the norm so noone was asked to foreground or specify gender unless they chose to do so.
i'm not saying it was the best approach to publicly negotiating gender nonconformity, but it definitely was not intended for the benefit of 'cis allies.'

"don't assume people's gender" was never about respecting trans and nonbinary people. It was about protecting cis Allies™ from the humiliation of being corrected
hot take: I think we should go back to assuming peoples pronouns. if we get it wrong, we should be corrected, say "thank you for correcting me", and not get it wrong again.
