I know nothing about 40k but people talk about it all the time. I’d be interested in playing a Total War version

Total War: Warhammer 40,000 will launch with four factions: Space Marines; Orks; Astra Militarum; and the Aeldari. But based on comments from developer Creative Assembly, it will eventually come to in... https://bit.ly/3MMoVbo

I believe this. When white folks, who were in the wrong btw, having their cows graze on lands that didn’t belong to them, quite literally had a standoff with the feds and the feds were like, “You right, you right” and left, I knew we were in trouble
The Bundy occupation at Malheur in early 2016 (and the lack of consequences they faced for it) was a sign of what was to come. Right wing white anti-government vigilantes cast as “patriots.”
NEW: Tina Peters is rejecting a J6er's call to storm a Colorado prison and free her.

Peters is distancing herself from the jailbreak scheme and violent actions after allies and her attorney talked about using force or violence to free her and punish those keeping her in prison.

The “failed to get into the military/LE” villain story and “failed to get into tech” villain story are the same story.
This NYT story failed the reader by not digging deeper. One subject dropped out of college after one year (five years ago) and lists "Windows" as his skillset. Story should be: young conservatives who blame immigrants for their personal failures and whose lives won't be improved w/ fewer immigrants

Interesting take. All facts tho
I think a lot of people don't fully appreciate that this administration and all of the people backing it are in it to make content as content creators
I’m sorry but why is the head of cbs news on tv herself

Bingo.
the balance hasn't remained constant, but people have long wrongly seen the NYT as a liberal publication that feels the need to bend over backwards for conservatives to fight bias charges, when in fact it's a conservative publication aimed at convincing liberals. they're more open about that now

Yeah…
it is so funny we’re back at square one with the streaming services. brief moment of low cost/high budget tv was just the product of another VC cash pit.
A basic cable package being $83 a month through YouTube is fucking insane
December 8, 2025 at 7:32 PM
Ehh…I think there’s a little “what else you got” coming from the youth. The screens can only add so many more pixels, and can only get so thin.

I think the retro movement will stay, if only because price gouging via streaming won’t stop.

re ryan grim and the various iterations of glenn greenwaldism...

the way this works isn't so much that they get seduced by the right as that they were already dreaming of a realignment of left and right populism against an imagined bland/evil center. 1

Let’s also note that the Centrists in the Dem party endorsed him over a Progressive, and he’s also one of the few Pro Life Dems (I’m sure that won’t matter in close votes), oh, and he was also pocketing money from Corpos.

I was wondering if DJT would pardon any Democrats though

Played the first Metroid Prime in…late high school/early college? Can’t remember. But I hated the isolated, all alone feel. I wanted more of a Zelda-here’s some hubs and side characters, then when ready you go off on your own.

Don’t realize that hardcore Metroid fans like the isolation

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is an excellent, if relatively uneven, revival that reaches heights worthy of the Metroid name in its best moments.

It’s crude, but you can narrow down a lot of the Right’s ideology to “🥺 But, but you have to smell my farts, no matter how rancid”. A lot of centrists felt obliged to accept under the spirit of compromise
It has been painfully obvious for *decades* that far-right wanted force US to listen to far-right speech while making other speech illegal, but our insanely stupid & short-sighted & hateful Elite joined them in pretending their anti-free-speech agenda was actually free-speech.
