Police initially responded to shots fired on Gibbs Street between 8 and 9 p.m. One person was taken to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and died overnight.

I often think about Zohran Mamdani saying “to get to any of us, you’re gonna have to go through all of us.”
Some Dems have told themselves only ~1% of the population is trans so they can dip their toe in the anti-trans filth and come out clean.
I don't have any trans family members—but it still makes me irate. I see it as a huge red flag, a sign you are unprincipled and untrustworthy. And I'm not alone.

It is revisionist history to say anything other than Trump’s coalition was built on old fashioned American racism.
He opened with “They’re not sending their best,” progressed to “shit hole countries,” and now we have pogroms in our cities.

This was a horribly violent weekend and to get right we need to be clear eyed. Violence is preventable. Mental health is meaningful. Sensible gun laws is a must. And humanity and decency from leaders must be a requirement and not simply a request.

Might be weird, but I enjoy a little stumble before the end of a good novel. I like going, “Oh! This is…a little rough. Come on, [insert author], you can land this!” And then they do and it’s glorious and I give them a standing ovation and remind myself it’s okay to stumble, keep going.
