Using the voters list as a political weapon against a constituent feels like perfectly reasonable grounds for a recall to me.
Dale Nally's recall petitioner says he doesn't listen to constituents and cites his concerns over the notwithstanding clause.

Nally responds by saying the petitioner doesn't vote and works as a proxy for a group weaponizing the recall act and the petition has no merit.

The #Alberta government is now tracking private citizens on whether they have voted or not and are testing the waters for their participation in society based on that. #AbLeg #AbPoli
Wait WHAT?!?

Dale Nally somehow audited the voting records of Albertans and is using that as a metric for who can initiate recall?

And now all of the applicant statements and member statements have been removed from Elections Alberta?

How would an MLA know which constituents vote in a provincial elections? This information is privileged only to Elections Alberta.

Also, any elector can initiate a recall, irrelevant of whether they vote. UCP wrote this law.

Literally, we need to jail politicians for this.
Shane Getson openly lied in the Legislature this week.

He said on multiple occasions that the Supreme Court of Canada had said that possession of Child Sexual Abuse Materials is "OK".

The Supreme Court said no such thing.

Funny enough, it is Carney and the Liberals looking to do this.

May lacks the courage to name him.

Also of note today, Canada led by Carney was absent in demanding an oil and gas phase-out at COP30.

Her credibility is sinking.

It was absolutely appalling how they treated Annamie Paul, and now Elizabeth May is burning off what’s left of the respect she once had for prioritizing what’s left of the environment.
I desperately wish we would do better.

Spoke to a room of lawyers and judges tonight. Told them: when many Albertans picture the UCP base, they picture you.

They were shocked — most of them oppose the democratic backsliding.

I reminded them: as long as they stay silent, that perception will stick.

HOME INSURANCE TOO HIGH?
Every state should do this.
Extreme weather disasters are driving up home insurance rates nationwide, and New Yorkers have had enough.

Senate Bill 8585, introduced this week by New York Senator Brian Kavanagh, would empower insurers in the state to take Big Oil companies to court for fueling climate disasters.
