This is identical to Russia invading Ukraine. Illegally invading a country for their resources and likely killing thousands—if not more—is immoral and should not be supported by anyone with any shred of moral conscience.

At least since 2016. It’s a poor representation of the public sphere for a lot of reasons, but this is an important one.
If you’re a journalist who’s still on Twitter, from now on in your writing you have to replace “the American people want” with “troll bots in Eastern Europe demand”

Being there makes your judgment suspect. I don’t care how savvy you think you are, you’re marinating in a disinformation campaign.

This is awful, and it's really important that it's being reported on.

At the same time, it's almost impossible to get to the actual journalism because USA Today is shoving their own chatbot at you (pic in next post).

“After having extensive conversations with ChatGPT about his depression and suicidal ideation, ChatGPT still provided Joshua with information on how to purchase and use a gun, according to the court complaint reviewed by USA TODAY.”
He told ChatGPT he was suicidal. It helped with his plan, family says.
A lawsuit against OpenAI claims that Joshua Enneking, 26, was coached into suicide by ChatGPT after confiding in the chatbot for months.

Zohran Mamdani doesn’t make me, an American Jew, feel unsafe.

Having the Coast Guard, which falls under the Department of Homeland Security, decide that a swastika isn’t really a symbol of hate? That makes me, an American Jew, feel pretty damn unsafe.

Good news you might have missed: in-state tuition rates will soon be soaring because your president doesn't want international students to subsidize US students' tuition.
The White House just blasted this out under the headline "Good News You May Have Missed"

Woke academia? Where instructors were summarily fired for mentioning that there are books about trans people and showing a chart about racism . . . But Larry Summers is still teaching his class?

We don’t need to reform ICE.
We don’t need alternatives to ICE.
We don’t need to engage in dishonest debates wondering what the U.S. would do without ICE.

ICE isn’t even 23 years old. Most adults know a world without ICE. And the billions used to fund ICE can be used to meet people’s basic needs.

Here Herbert Simon recounts hiring James March. He openly longs for the days when you could simply offer jobs without any committee review. No transparency, no open calls, no formal interviews. Just good old boys with elite credentials reproducing themselves.

Trump has ZERO idea how our health care system works. ZERO. And he's parroting the GOP fiction that someone who needs health care is in a good bargaining position or can "shop" for more "competitive" insurance plans. Capitalism and health care are incompatible.
TRUMP: We’re going to give Americans the money to buy health insurance

REPORTER: But won’t they buy it from
Insurance companies?

TRUMP: Ahhh. Some may. I mean they’ll be negotiating prices

I cannot begin to properly articulate how upsetting it is to have had people baselessly accuse trans people of being groomers and pedophiles only for it to come out that they were deliberately doing this as part of a project to provide cover to actual groomers and pedophiles in positions of power
