Just read a post about Thanksgiving 'humor' stories and one of them was a woman describing putting orange juice in a dish because her son's girlfriend claimed to have a citrus allergy which she believed was fake. She had an EpiPen just in case.
Whether she did or not, that wasn't funny.

NEWS --> BBC confirms to me that they did edit a line out of historian @rutgerbregman.com's speech. It called Trump "the most openly corrupt president in US history."

BBC also confirms this was done on the advice of lawyers. So Trump's threats worked.

Trump’s Fury at BBC Gets Unnerving Results with Pro-MAGA Edit Stunner
First, British Broadcasting Corporation execs resigned after Trump complained about a segment. Now the BBC edited out a line from a historian that was critical of Trump. Where does this end?

Seeing that 100 Best Comedies list floating through my timeline, & anything that doesn't have Airplane!, Hot Shots!, the original French 'La Cage Aux Folles', Dazed & Confused, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and the mother of all comedies 'Blazing Saddles' atop the throne surely can't be serious.

Sometimes I think about how many people were convinced that the Vice President of the United States lost the presidential election because she didn’t contort herself to do this show.

If it’s true it says a lot about this country.
Everything about this might be the saddest thing I’ve ever seen

I swore an oath to the Constitution in 1986. I've upheld it through 25 years of service and every day since I retired.

If Trump's trying to intimidate me, it won’t work. I’ve given too much to our country to be silenced by bullies who care more about power than the Constitution.

"the Government relies on the AG's Oct. 31 Order, which purported to retroactively appoint Ms. Halligan...'Special Attorney,' effective September 22, 2025... the Government has identified no authority allowing the Attorney General to reach back in time and rewrite the terms of a past appointment."
"I conclude that all actions flowing from Ms. Halligan’s
defective appointment, including securing and signing Mr. Comey’s indictment, constitute unlawful exercises of executive power and must be set aside. There is simply 'no alternative
course to cure the unconstitutional problem.'"
"Ms. Halligan’s unlawful appointment renders all her purported official actions void ab initio. He therefore argues the case must be dismissed because Ms. Halligan was not lawfully exercising executive power when she appeared before the grand jury alone and obtained his indictment. I agree."

The Trump Administration is flat fucking lying about the economy on the daily.
Media had an absolute meltdown over Joe Biden's strong economy and they can't mouth one word of objection when Trump Admin officials lie to their face and their audience.
I *hate* that interviewers have given up on even gentle pushback when Trump's people confidently assert that they inherited "an absolute economic mess" and therefore had no choice but to set about restructuring the entire U.S. economy
