I learned of this boy's heartbreaking story on FB as the place where he was abandoned is just a few miles down the road from me 😢😢😢 I will never understand how people can be so callous and uncaring towards any animal. I will leave a link below should anyone wish to

been immediately thinking of an actual Stede/Ed 9/11 fic, which has since been deleted, where the both worked in the Trade towers on that day and had a kind of meet-cute situation whilst trying to escape the burning buildings.

Yep. So some people when they see that reference to the 9/11 fic have been thinking immediately of a spin-off fic inspired by the Pina Coladas SMAU. That spin-off fic has a part involving Ed being in NYC on 9/11 and Stede going through all the emotions about it.
