Had a look at income tax in 1945 and applied them to 2025 dollars. Unlike today, there are 24 brackets; 20 split differences between 100k+ up to 3.6M+
In other words, if you make under 70k, you wouldn't be taxed more than 25%. If you make 100k-1M, you might be taxed anywhere from 29-78%.
