Caturday naps are the best naps 😻
My brown floofy tabby cat Pearl curled up asleep on a floral blanket next to her human. Her head is resting on her front paws, which are outstretched towards the camera. She looks very cozy and comfortable

My PCP got little white noise fans to help privacy and it's stupid how much I appreciate them, but also I would love options for calming sounds in addition to the things you mentioned. Give me cool stickers and something to fidget with (and keep) and my blood pressure might be normal not elevated

On National Coming Out Day, know that I will always be an ally to you — no matter where you are on your journey.

I know that times may be scary, but you are seen, safe, supported, and loved here in Illinois.

“Standin’ extra tall for #Caturday, mama. Go ahead, mark the wall—I be a giant now.”

Color photograph. A small gray and black tabby kitten looks out from the circular cut out of a little cat condo. She looks to be standing extra tall as if trying to get her head to reach the upper part of the cutout.

I meant third neuro-ophthalmogist technically- two worked together tho. First one said they couldn't help me

Went thru primary, (unfortunately) chiropractor, ENT, regular opthalmologist, neurosurgery, vascular, and neurology first plus specialist opthalmologist and psychiatrist after/during

I don't get up to investigate strange noises. They're all coming from my body.

Ooof as someone who went through 3 specialists and all the freaking neuro-ophthalmogy tests, solidarity.

Mine's bilateral CN6 palsy that was tentatively diagnosed as CN3/CN4 problems, but the 3 surgeries helped some and proved the CN6, so I kinda get it. If you ever want to chat hmu 🫂

This was the best thing about doing post op visits in my 20s at the children's hospital. The fish tanks in the waiting rooms. The huge rube-goldberg machine in the lobby. Like at least let us stare at something besides the tiny TV mounted way too high and greige everything

My publisher’s been very patient. I’m not doing everything I said I’d do to promote this book (out in a few weeks) because I’m an organizer in a city under federal attack. My days are full and emotionally exhausting. Any help getting the word out means a lot. It's a book people need right now.

Who's there?
Eeyore
Eeyore who?
Eeyore starting at my ears, aren't you?
Lamancha goat, who normally has no ears, wearing an Eeyore costume. Her ears now look like her Nubian friends.

Great analogy on a meeting rn:
Hydrangeas need a lot of water in the summer, cactus, none.

Some employees/colleagues are hydrangeas and need a lot of tending. Some people are cactus and just want to be left alone to do their job.

This is true of so many people and is situational.
