This isn't just limited to GOOG. Most of the industry is incredibly bad at growing juniors into seniors anymore.
One of my big worries is that koolaid drinking around LLMs is going to worsen this, and we're gonna have a shortage of seniors crisis some time in the next 10 years or so.
