It's not unfortunate. It reflects attitudes of the time -and even to this day we associate "fair" with goodness (snow white the fairest of them all) and darker skin/coloration with evil. It doesn't mean I can't enjoy Tolkien, but I'm aware of the limitations. /1

I know Romeo likes to compare himself to Benito, but Romeo hasn't written or performed a single song in a 25 yr career that gives me the feelings that Benito has. He's still singing about drinking & cheating and k!lling his mother in law. 😑😑😑
