Both Pelosi and Biden explicitly said the Dems need a strong GOP. The Republicans can’t sustain a political majority without Democrats intentionally defending them.

i'm speechless...thank you jeff keighly, for awarding Game of The Year to 'of the Devil: Episode 2.' it's a little strange given that it is DLC, and not released yet, but i can always trust the "The Game Awards" to recognize greatness, especially from a little indie team like ours.

just...wow. ❤️

I see a lot of oppobrium for people based on how critical they were of Joe Biden. Literally, "criticism of Joe Biden got us in this mess."

Folks, nobody bears more blame for the damage criticizing him did than Joe Biden. That debate? Lost the election. It lost America's trust. Period. It's on him.

Imagining a game awards montage with both of these games and it cuts to Geoff and he looks like he lost 2 pints of blood in 30 seconds.
Why should I respect Geoff's Award Show when Beyond Citadel and Psycho Patrol R aren't indie nominees smh

Something I have to reiterate is that you are being straight up lied to about trans people and our healthcare on an unfathomable scale, this instance reporting is already being torn to shreds by other people commenting, but the frequency of this kind of reporting is astonishing, it's neverending.
You might think from the headline that this is a story about a trans kid suffering medical consequences from a large drug dose but nope! It is just an interview with an estranged father who is angry that his child happily transitioned.

One of the many facets of why everything sucks so much these days is so much of everything we do, the online spaces we exist, are completely opaque black boxes that can arbitrarily punish you and never have to actually explain why. Steam, Youtube, Bluesky itself, everything works this way now
Valve has now rejected my complaint, confirming that "I don't like muslims" is a valid reason to leave a negative review on a game on Steam

This is where we're at now.

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".
