Now out in NSMB for those who missed our biorxiv back in 2023.. bacterial ESCRT-III-like #Vipp1 forms dynamic spiral filaments on membrane! Spirals are springs that drive 3D ring formation in the spiral centre! 😵💫 wonderful collaboration with Adai Colom’s lab and @rouxlab.bsky.social

We solved the cryoEM structure of the T7SSb core unit (T7bCU) composed of YukB, YukC, and YukD from Bacillus subtilis, revealing how these components assemble within the secretion machinery.
