I found she identified a very similarly colored specimen as P. luteovirens on nahuby.sk as well. I'm not sure if she has a formal education in mycology but she is an active scientist in mycology specilizing in Pluteus, Volvariella and Amanita sect. Vaginatae so she should know her stuff.

Interesting, they mention regarding P. chrysophaeus "later descriptions by Fries, Quelet (1872), and Saccardo (1887), describe the colour as ‘dark cinnamon’ or ‘brownish’."
If I didn't mismatch the pic this collection of mine was identified by Hana Ševčíková as P. luteovirens.

BTW are Pluteus chrysophlebius and Pluteus chrysophaeus (and Pluteus luteovirens) synonyms or are they different species?

I agree that P. leoninus looks different, the cap texture. I love P. leoninus but this is a better find.

Recently I collected some funny little Echinoderma for a mushroom exhibition, it was macroscopically identified as Echinoderma jacobi by a mycologist, I hope to find it again to get a pic and a sample for microscopic examination.

Hydnocristella himantia, rare(ish) in Czechia (redlisted locally as NT), one of those spiky weirdos.

Locally redlisted in Czechia as CR (2024).

Hygrophorus queletii, very rare in Czechia and it seems rare in general. Growing with larch (Larix), characteristized by white fruiting bodies with reddish cap center and yellowish gills. Third year in a row I've seen them on locality (mossy pasture edge).

MADELEINE DEAN: The president is unhinged. He's unwell

JOHNSON: A lot of folks on your side are too

D: Oh my god, please. That performance in front of the generals?

J: I didn't see it

D: It's so dangerous! Our allies are looking elsewhere. Our enemies are laughing. You have a POTUS who's unwell.

They look small, growing on significantly decayed wood. I think they might be Hypholoma subviride. Although I'm not sure how well is the species shown to occur in Europe.

I saw it recently on Prague mushroom exhibition. I had to compare the smell to Tricholoma sulphureum.

Cystolepiota pulverulenta, a little weirdo covered heavily with powdery substance. Somewhat rare in Czechia but also probably overlooked, another from the little dapperlings loving nutrient rich localities, often with nettles, bushes, places people tend to avoid.

Leucoagaricus serenus (hopefully, there are at least L. sericifer and L. crystallifer, depicted on is from locality with microscopied collection of L. serenus but multiple species can co-occur).

Unbelievable. Surreal. Disturbing.

Student asks an important Q and McAllister cuts his mic and recommends parents beat him?

THIS is the AB government's consultation process?

At tonight’s “consultation”…

When a high school kid tried to raise concerns about the teachers strike, Bruce McAllister cut the kids mic and then suggested his parents should have beaten him more.

Listen to the clip yourself…

It’s…

Telling.

hey @nytimes.com: there is no counterpoint here. There are no credible legal experts who would EVER say that the US military has any right or authority to blow civilian craft out of the Caribbean and kill their crews from afar without any provocation. There is no other side to this question.
"Some legal experts have called it a crime to summarily kill civilians not directly taking part in hostilities, even if they are believed to be smuggling drugs."

I fully understand how difficult it is to remain focused on any one particular atrocity but this really ought to be a serious scandal and people need to pay heavy prices for this

I think the Trump admin assumed no one would try to find out who the people on the boats they blew up really were

He is right. If there were more people like Comey at proper positions at proper time Miller and similar would be in prison. Rightfully so.

I got Lepiota josserandii for the mushroom exhibition as well together with L. echinella and L. griseovirens, that was from a different spot (but nearby and quite similar habitat). I hope to see C. moelleri and C. hetieri as well plus some interesting small Echinoderma again.

I got a few of them for the recent mushroom exhibition in Šumperk, Czechia. The locality was flooded last year with 10-15 cm of mud and sand deposit. I expected they'll back sooner or later and they did. Perhaps a year sooner than I'd expect.
