Oh dang, that's a lot of new followers.

Hi folks! I'm Jake (or Jaymic), and I do some freelance creative text work for Magic. Please expect most of my posts to be about said Magic.

I also dip my toe into story content creation now and again. Might do that soon if I can find the right platform.

Magic the Gathering card Resistance Skywarden. I wrote the flavor text: When the Vulshok taught him the word for "home," he knew it was what he had been fighting for.

Magic the Gathering card Glissa Sunslayer. I contributed the name.

Magic the Gathering card Vanish into Eternity. I wrote both the name and flavor text: Faced with a blast that would level not only New Phyrexia, but also a dozen innocent worlds, Elspeth consigned it - and herself - to the nothingness in between.

Magic the Gathering card Lonely Arroyo. I created the flavor text character of Big Ralph.

I always thought it would be very funny, once there's enough crossover IPs, to have a commander dech where every card is a different franchise. I don't think we're even that far off.

Possibly my favorite movie ever.

I personally consider the three Halloweens I noted as a trilogy and mostly disregard the rest. Winds up almost poetic.

SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
