There can be no social justice without disability justice.

You want to fight fascism? Engage the disability community.

Practice inclusivity. Wear a mask. Make protests and resistance accessible.

Don’t treat us expendable, less than or “better off dead”.

Don’t leave us behind.

Younger me did not foresee a world in which I am ideologically far more aligned with the current Pope than with most major US institutions, but here we are.

He puts his finger on much of what's at the heart of the moral rot we see all over.

it's wild that R, the ubiquitous statistical computing language, was co-created by a Māori prof (Ross Ihaka) — and yet the vast majority of scientists who use R don't know

It has been an amazing experience to be President of @improvingpsych.org for the past year. There aren't many societies that would engage early career researchers in leadership, but SIPS is very special 🧡✨

I believe science is much more like art than many scientists are willing to consider. I have a feeling that it would free us to do better science if we embraced this view. I may be mistaken but that's where I am mentally.

The recent attacks show how political obsession can turn deadly. It’s not just about ideology it’s about people crossing the line from disagreement to violence. This isn’t a debate anymore; it’s a clear warning of how extremism targets ordinary lives.

I was taught in allyship training that “did you really just say that” and “dude, not cool” can be really powerful disruptors in conversation with people you know in real life.

I’ve used them (and seen them used) quite successfully

Skywatch has a “contains-slur” label and labels focused on violence and rhetoric, but nothing that catches that space of “did you really just say that?”

Kinda need something that catches that middle ground of racism.
