This is sad for those who are experiencing delays in getting medical assistance.

HOWEVER, this is what is to be expected when a govt choses to eliminate jobs of essential frontline healthcare workers in order to fund tax cuts for landlords, the tobacco lobby and their wealthy cronies. #nzpol

I don’t think it’s hyperbole to say this election will be the last chance we have to do anything about the foundation laying for control and the erosion of democratic norms that has taken place at warp speed over the last couple of years.
Another term will embed new norms and a deep, unyielding rot.

So basically much higher inflation than 3% in the things people can’t avoid paying, but a fall in discretionary purchase prices (due to fall in demand due to belt tightening?) offsetting it. The CPI doesn’t reflect reality for many AoNZers. #nzpol
Electricity prices rose 12.2%, gas prices rose 16.2%. Food prices rose 4.3%, with meat prices up 8.2% and dairy and egg prices up 9.8%. Telecom services prices grew 7%. Overall inflation is helped by falling prices of audio-visual equipment (-18.5%) and games, toys and hobbies (-5.8%).

#NZpol Not the first time Peters is playing for the VFF crowd – who on realising in the run up to the election they’d never get in, sought someone to carry their "message" in parliament.

They’re a tiny minority of NZ, yet Luxon allowed Peters to put things to WHO that don’t represent NZ as a whole.
This is embarrassing and we are fucking doomed.

Unlike the US, in Denmark, health care & college are free, the starting wage is $22 an hour, paid parental leave is 1 year, paid vacation is 6 weeks & all workers get pensions.

That seems very relevant to me.
